Hey Dave, those shims you talked about for the small bevel gears, do you have a part number for them? will have to see if I can get them in the UK. They must be a tight fit as my cuda doesn't seem to have much, if any, play in the small gears. From your discription you seem to be pushing the small gear towards te larger gear for a tighter mesh yet you shimm the diff so it's a looser mesh strange how it makes things quieter.
I'm still getting laughed at for my tractor

Ask Steve at Speed Tech if he can get it for you 1st....and if he can`t then try Ko`s Importer..and if that doesn`t work...I`ll se what I can do....but you had better act fast....really fast like try to find out by friday next week if you can 100%..because I think that they only made 50 of the Orange drive systems...and I know of 25 of then that are being used right now in the Tokyo/ Yokohama area..

I have to dig it up...but I`ll find it for you.... I just measured some more gears tonight and I just found out that alex makes 3 gears now..!!! ..ohhh well the new new new...ones only need a 0.1mm shim an the 1st R2 ones need a 0.2mm shim and the R1 gears need 0.3mm shim... also it make the car more quiet because it keeps the gear from going back and forth..

LOL, maybe soon they'll make a newer one that needs no shims

thats what I think they did with the Newest set of gears..that ALEX Racing just made about 2 months ago ... ..

I`m just picky with the car being quiet since I spent almost 2 weeks making this shim thing work
