Default team magic and sports werks bags the same?

as the title ask are team magics bags (f10, f8) the same as sports works bags? they seem very similar and i saw a picture of a sportswerks with magic drawers so are they the same quality or is the sportswerks i cheap knock off?
i cant compare as no one near me sells sportswerks but ive seen the tm stuff and its awsome.

Hi Josh,

The TM bags and the 3 Racing/Sportwerks bag are almost identical. The main difference is the materials used for the bag itself and the trays inside.

TM = HD plastic draws/trays
3 Racing/Sportwerks = cardboard draws/trays

I believe you can get the plastic trays seperately.

I am not sure if anyone actually imports the "clone" bags into Australia, but you can get the TM bags quite reasonably here in Australia as they are brought in by HEI. Just go to your local hobbyshop (Trackside RC or Mr Toys - Mt Gravatt) and they will either have them in stock or get them pretty quickly for you.

Hope this helps.

Leonard.

For the 8th scale versions of the bags the TM has 6 drawers (1 large & 4 small). The Sportwerks has 3 large. The sportswerks was discontinued though so unless someone has it in stock or you are buying used you cant get it. The cloth material on the TM seems a bit thicker too.

Yea, we just sold our last Sportwerks bag recently and were unable to get more.

I am fairly sure the Team Magic bags are available through Trinity.

The TM and Sportwerks 1/10 touring bags are the same, just different colors, in fact the Sportwerks bag came with TM boxes. Not sure about the 1/8 I think the only differences were the colors and boxes. I dont know if TM made them for Sportwerks or the other way around, either way Sportwerks has discontinued thiers.

Yeah, Trinity handles the distribution of the TM bag and equipment. The F8 bag is on back order right now though. Looks like early May is when they are expecting more.

I've already got my eye on one as soon as someone/anyone has them instock.

If you are considering getting one, obviously it will have to be TM, but I would suggest getting the F8, I have a brand new Sportwerks 1/10 touring bag and it is not big enough for my stuff, the boxes are an inch or two too small all the way around for most pit equipment. As soon as the F8 bags are in stock I will be getting one of those.

The F8 bag is just plain beautiful. If someone can't fit all their stuff in one of those, they need less stuff.

I just hope they actually come instock this time. The last time they were expected was "mid-April" and that was completely missed by TM and Trinity. Now its "early May", so hopefully it'll be in this time.(fingers crossed)

If looking for TM bags try

Amainhobbies.com
bmainhobbies.com
and best bet Racedayhobbies.com
Racersedge also does a a similar bag.

I have the F8 and F10 bag and they are simply the best.
Sportwerks is teh same bag but cardboard draws.
TM draws can be bought seperately to replace Sportwerks draws.

F8 is very popular with it being favoured by electric racers as two chassis can fit in one draw and you would only need one bag to carry all your equipment.
Used with the TM radio bag and starter bag if into gas ,it cant be beat.Only hassle its big so you need a big boot or empty back seat if you have a car.

Hell, just do as I did, get both. I have plenty of room for all my stuff including cars with two bags.
