My Novak SS+ ESC and 5800 motor seemed to have quit on me last night (12/30). The LEDs indicated the following:
Blue & Green status LEDs both blinking. Possible ESC shut-down due to locked motor detection––return throttle to neutral position to regain motor control––check vehicle’s drive train for free operation.
After chatting with one of the guys at my local track, he suggested I replace the endbell and bearings. I did so and still get the same status.
Ok, so now I pull the ESC from the car and while doing so, hear some loose peices rattling around inside the ESC, that can't be good.
Should I send the ESC in to Novak for repair or replacement?
Also, If I end up getting a new ESC and/or motor, will the GTB
work with a 5800 motor?
