Depending on carpet traction conditions, yes the stiffer 3.5mm chassis from the 007 can be an advantage. The only difference is the thickness compared to the original T2 chassis. The other option is a BMI carpet chassis kit which is 3mm, but made from a stiffer CF.

I dont belive that the 007 chassis will fit the regular T2. But the BMI t2 chassis is very nice. It comes with an upper deck, both shock towers, the rear upper deck, and a chassis.

I have not tried placing the chassis's back to back but my understanding is the bulkhead holes are identical, just the shape of the bulkheads themselves changed.

Why not sell your current T2 - pool in that money for the different chassis and a few extra dollars and buy a used 007? Then you get the new upper deck, chassis, bulkheads, etc.

Or just wait a couple more weeks, keep your T2 and buy the 007 conversion kit for WAY cheaper then buying a new one.

Some yes, all nope, no way.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the lower upper deck the servo saver assembly set won't fit, there are more also...

But X-ray is/has put something out there to convert the T2 to the Bond, James Bond X-ray race car....

The 007 chassis is a direct fit on the original T2 bulkheads and IMO is a worthwhile performance upgrade if running foams on medium to high traction carpet. However, the conversion kit will give you more bang for each buck.
