Can you just go out and buy a schottky diode or does it have to be made specially for rc's?

Cheers

Doesn't need to be made specifically for RC. Just needs to meet or exceed the minimum specs (as supplied by reedy) 45 volts, 9 amps, 0.4 forward voltage drop. The first two numbers can be higher, the last number, voltage drop, can be lower.

my car has very short radio range. i removed the motor capacitors to make it go faster (barely). i think it is the motor glitching that is causing the problem. what size capacitor should i buy?
