I use chassis film on the front and rear 2-3" of the chassis. That is all that usually hits and you don't have to do all that trimming.

i think u should, i noticed that the vibration of my esc against the SSG created some traces, just imagine the result if i didnt protect the chassis, actually i added a lexan plate under the chassis, it is wider so it also protect the edges of the bottom plate (it makes ut car heavier too but i think it worths enough for 3 more grams)

Using Mo's setup for asphalt.
I got the CVD's off ebay for cheap... so I just put them on..Plus they are more durable than the Yokomo bones.

speedtechrc- the yokomo Ti screw set retails for $37 and my local hobby shop that we can't say anymore has them in stock. Yes they are very low on the price of the screw set but for some reason 2 Ti ball studs will set you back $17!

Where did you find those figures rcz? My understanding is slightly different...

Yokomo springs are graded thus... First two figures are spring wire diameter, latter figures are number of coils - so YS-1460 is a 1.4mm, 6 coil spring.

Thicker wire = stiffer spring
Fewer coils = stiffer spring

So the order "should" be (in the YS-14 range) White, Yellow, Pink, Green, Stainless, Orange (this is the order Yokomo rate them, except the stainless which isn't listed in the chart you get with a pair of springs). Because of variances in manufacture, you can end up with values like those above if you measure springs individually though.

I believe Yokomo rate the 1355 Blue as stiffer than the 1465 White, but softer than the others. Not sure where they rate the 1560 GT4 spring.

Usable TC3 springs:
Associated TC3 Green 12.00
Associated TC3 Silver 14.50 Same as Rayspeed Silver
Associated TC3 Blue 17.00 Same as Rayspeed Blue
Associated TC3 Gold 19.50
For those that didn't know, the TC3 springs are a narrower diameter (will they rub the threaded bodies?), and use differently dimensioned shock bottoms.

Anti Roll Bar chart:
Colour Torsion Rate (N/rad) Equivalent rate at wishbone(lbs/inch)
Black 24.57 9.1
Silver 30.57 11.4
Brass 38.34 14.2
Copper 40.77 15.1
Wondering where you found these figures as well? I thought there was only three grades of Yokomo anti-roll bar, black (1mm), silver (1.2mm), gold (1.4mm).

Sosidge..

Forgot where I down loaded those numbers from. I'm sure someone took the time who had a measure device of some kind to measure the springs. Yes it is true what you have stated:

Thicker wire = stiffer spring
Fewer coils = stiffer spring

With the right instruments it can be measured lbs/inch or even gr/mm for those metric folks

TC3 springs are only a fraction smaller in diameter. Some racer use TC3 shock parts on their TC's

As for the anti-roll bars...
The SD kit comes with 4...as shown:

Yokomo recommended gearing a P2k at 6.4-6.8
for the Monster maybe around 7.2 final drive ratio to start.
