You can grind down the bell crank, or buy the new bell crank that has a spacer under it so the belt will not rub.

Same here! I have been looking for one! I already came close to cutting the old chassis and gluing it to a newer LCG chassis!!!

Hope someone will come out with one soon!!! The LCGis realy a great car!! Will be greater if it were a litle stiffer.

Calling on Penguin or Ben, BMI is too busy.

Yeah, I tried to get a chassis cut at BMI too for another car. I sent the chassis last February to copy and by November, it was still wasn't done. Finally just had him send it back. Let me know if you have any success with Brion at Penguin. Maybe we can get a discount if he knows more than one person wants a chassis.

Smile STIFFENING THE LCG CHASSIS

G'day LEM,

Have you tried the longer steering posts that fit between the upper and lower deck, this may assist stiffening the chassis. The PNo is SD-202LPL. I am going to fit this to my LCG this week. This fits to the steering pivot pointswhere the ball bearings are. Will submit photo when completed.

Cheers
Calvin.

Default Thicker chassis

LCG thick chassis, count me in.....just keep us posted on the progress.
I've been running the LCG on carpet....it works great...the flex in the chassis is the only thing i have to watch for.

Hi Guys,

We worked with Brion over at Penguin before, so if there's enough of you that wants a thicker chassis for the SD (maybe we can incorporate the battery tray as well) let me know, and I'll see if we can get some numbers together over for Brion.

Battery trays are a must.....for me at least...makes life so much easier with minimal weight loss....

I'm definetely in for a thicker LCG chassis.

I also tried BMI for a Yok BD and a LCG chassis, they said that they didn't have any time at the moment.
My LCG is my best car out of my collection, just want to make it a carpet runner........

The old SSG (and rayspeed) lower deck can be substituted for the LCG chassis. You only have to drill new holes for the steering posts, everything else is a direct fit.

not so true. The motormount-holes of the original SSG chassis are different to LCG chassis. Also the servo is mounted inline on the original chassis while the LCG has the servo a different mount, so it won't fit.

Hi Calvin,
yes I have installed the part already in my LCG, and it did help a lot, I just feel that in modified, the LCG will be better with a thicker chassis.

So far for Stock and 19T no problems.

Wish we could get a quorum for Penguin to make one, and also outside US orders. Thanks SPEEDTECH (steeve) for giving the shoutout that we need a thicker chassis!

Happy New Year to ALL!!!

Lem
