I finally received my RS conversion kit yesterday, and naturally I nearly completed it by this morning. Here are some first impressions:
„The bottom deck is more flexible, however it is much lighter.
„The steering system is much, much better than the original; it has almost no play, is smoother and has a low CG (looks like it anyway
„I believe the motor mount is shifted further back, but I'm not certain.
„With the new shock towers you can run very stood up positions.
„The top deck is stiffer than the original.
It is true that you cannot run the center stiffener with the RS chassis, however if you were to modify it, it would fit. Specifically, shorten it some.
I noticed one other weird thing: if you look at the RS bottom deck, you'll notice it has 2 extra holes at the rear end of the chassis, and it is longer. I wonder if Rayspeed is developing something to fit there
Later I can post a picture of what I'm talking about if you like.
