i will get in the race this generation X 2008(made of hirosaka silver carbon) with new brushress system. orion vortex 12th special / tekin R1pro.
orion vortex 12th special launched last decmber in japan from kyosho.
this motor have 12mm sintered rotor without cooling fun.
compared from novak 5.5T, i felt more fun to drive.
tekin R1 pro released 27th december at hongkong rcmarket. then arrived it at 3 days later, 30th.
it took 3 days from hongkong to japan, free shipping.
first impression,,, <<note> a few packs run small spaces near from my home, not competition carpet track at this time.>>
this esc, i felt, mild brake more than novak GTB, smooth slottle feeling morre than LRP 2007 competition.
tekin seems to think about lipo battery use for this esc. a variety of voltage cut volt, redline motors KV from thier website.
i felt r1pro is best feeling esc on the market now. more runs and test will have this saturday or sunday.
thank you..

Silver carbon looks neat, reminds me of a Yokomo I had a few years ago. Have you got any more pics of the whole car?

killer dude
where can some one get that stuff
i like it
but i did not like the new rear x pod so i went back to the normal rear pod, more support.

chassis made of silver carbon, i bought from masaaki hirosaka(masami father http://www.hirosaka.jp/)
this is hand made cut, original designing.
1.side link makes long to bring center rolling point to this car central axis.
2.battery posision, left and right side 2 cells close to yawing point, center 2 cells to back and side cells to front.
3. this hirosaka carbon slightly soften, compared to other black ones. i did not bore hole of front through a plank.
more picture, rear pod.
i think this old rear pod is better for competition modified racing.i add to center screw.
open x pod, i guess, it might be vulnerable for torsional rigidity on high speed cornering.
thank you..

You can get it anywhere that makes C/F such as Kinetic Composites or DA Graphite. It is the same material as the standard uni directional panels but uses a colored fiberglass exterior layer instead of a 3k plain weave exterior layer that you get on standard carbon fiber. It is a little more flexible but not much. The most important feature that changes the rigidity is the way the material is layed. Component grade will have more torsional flex than quasi isotropic. If you want a more flexible chassis go with component grade. The raw material is layed at 0 and 90 degrees and is more resistant to bending but softer when you twist it. Quasi isotropic is the raw material layed at 0,90,and 45 degrees and is mirrored off of the center core which gives it freakish torsional strength. The quasi isotropic is priced higher though due to loss of materials when being made.
