tamiya tt-01. Followed that with an sc10. then a tamiya m04, then an rc10b4, then I traded my sc10 for a 12r5 pan car. Every one if them is race track only.

My first car was a 1/12th Leisure car with there digital charger.I still have the orginal burnt up stock motor (mabuchi) and the Florida Team Captains car and proto type chassis. The three of us became best friends.I'm just missing the upper deck to hold either the ESC (the first) or a wiper arm assembly.

My 1st rc car was a home built mess from 2 broken cars. It was the rear of a big brute and the front of an Assault. I was a young kid and didnt have alot of money.lol My friend gave me the 2 cars and i fit the rear of the big brute onto the chassis of the assault. After that i went on to buy a Road Winner. After that it was a Blackfoot. The good old days.

A COX .049 metalic orange dune buggy and a home built 1 channel remote control. Bought the car new by making down payments at the hobby shop with paper route money. There was a article in a MRC mag that did the build as well and I just had to make one.

Default Way back

My first powered model was an awesome 10th-scale model of the Belond AP Special -- the 1957 or 58 Indy 500 winner. It was powered by a Fox .049 glow engine driving the right rear through a slipper. It wasn't radio controlled, but a "tether car". You drove a spike into the middle of the street and attached swivel and cord to it that in turn hooked up to a yoke on the car. You fired it up and gave it a boost in the right direction and it went around in a circle faster and faster until the cord broke and the car took of into an immovable object. Shards of yellow plastic all over the neighborhood.

My first RC vehicle was an old aluminum tub RC10. Raced that with some success as well.

The Delta Super J was my first car back in '76, then it was the Delta Eagle, AE12L, Kyosho Optima. Been in and out of the hobby since, mainly just bashing around. With retirement just around the corner, will try to start racing again.
