The Euro-Spec chassis is 2.4mm. so the cells are a bit higher up compared to the 2.9 or 3.4. That might explain it.
Although I run the Euro-Spec also without any problems.
It is a snug fit, but no force needed to install the battery.
Maybe the latest dimensions of Cells used, or use of older cells (which expanded a bit), or as suggested an extra shrink, either per cell or per pack, still a lot of causes might fill that tiny bit of play there is (hidden
