That makes perfect sense, thank you for explaining it.

Since this is the "dummies" thread I can ask this question here....

Anyone ever experiment with using 4 double pink orange tires ?

I like how the DPiO holds up from chunking on the edges. I would have to do something to compensate for the balance of handling.... Also I have plenty of double pink orange tires

i had a difficult time getting the rear of the car to stay put for all stages of the corner. it's just seemed too tough to balance the pressure put on that outside ring. i'm sure it can be done, but it's not going to yield a car that will be very good from place to place.

consider, however, that i also tried rear tires on the front 3 years ago and we laughed at how hard the car dug in, and proceeded to move on. now, it's the standard. goes to show what i know.

Since this is the dummies thread, I have a few questions. I'm running a 1/10 TC on asphalt and I just switched from rubber tires to foam. I've never ran foams before, but everyone in the club has been switching over to foams.

Question 1: What types of general changes would I need to make to the suspension? I'm guess that I will have more traction so I would need to change the setup accordingly. Springs, oil, pistons?

Question 2: I hear about people using CA on the sidewalls to prevent chunking. Is this recommended, and how far up the sidewall should it be applied?

Question 3: I've also read about people rounding the outside edge of the tire. Is there a way to do this if one doesn't have a tire truer?

See I am a foam tire dummy!

If the inside of the tire is bigger then the outside, then you need more negative camber, if the outside is bigger then the inside, you need less negative camber.

Unless you are running huge amounts of toe, it shouldn't really affect your tire wear.

And remember every few runs to swap your tires left to right and right to left so they all wear evenly.
