Default NiMH 2500 mAh AA rechargables for Radio

Energizer has NiMH 2500 mAh AA rechargables and a charger.

Their charger's output is 2.8v @ 360 mA, per channel, charging 4 bats at a time. Each channel charges 2 - 1.2v batteries, thus the 2.8v per channel output (x2). So far, so good! The 360 mA output has me confused.

Question:

Isn't battery charging theory all the same?

If the bats are 2500 mAh, where does the 360 mA output come into play?

Why do our R/C chargers' ask for the mAh setting, (such as 3000 or 3300) regardless of how many cells there are?

Can these bats be charged on R/C type chargers with the proper settings? And what would these settings be?

What it means is that it will be charging the batteries at .360 Amps. I run 2400s in my controller, and charge them at 0.8 Amps off my charger. Some people can push in 1 Amp, but that would be the limit for AA Batteries.

I have those energizer cells in my M8 and I leave them in the TX tray with and charge with my regular charger at 1 - 1.5 amps. Any higher and the tray itself starts to get warm.

So do you charge all 8 at the same time?

Example:

2500 mAh
.5 to 1.0 amps
Ignore the cells per pak setting?

My 969 pro should sense the completion and shut off automatically?

Thanks for the help!

Allan
