Default Just sold my Pro 3

And now looking for a competitive car.
Have under $300(but inclusive shipping/handling)
So my choice is
TB-Evo III
Factory TC3
Losi graphite plus
Yokomo MR4tc special
414M2(if it's available and at my budget)

So which should i choose guys?
both the tamiyas are like my dream come true but parts are SLOW to arrive here..
I heard the Yok. will be replaced soon
The TC3 is also old...will it be replaced?
And there is also bad support for Losi here...

from what i have read on the tc3 board...there is no replacement for the tc3. just an upgrade to the current chassis such as the batteries moving inboard and holes for the nitro tc3 steering.

i could be wrong about "no replacement," but i'm sure there will be a chassis upgrade, but do not know when it will come out.

If you can wait a short while, the Xray T1R is within your budget.

An XRay T1 EVO 2 is within your budget if you shop at the right places...

Default lee82gx;

Will always be around if you need some help. I too like the design of the X-Rays. However, the standard chassis set-up is a little TOO stiff for the average parking lot that many of us race at. (the 414M suffers this too)
If I was to race Mod at a permanent track, I would most definately pick either the X-Ray or the 414M. For Stock racing, I think the XXXS or TC3 would both be easier to set-up and drive.

Default Xrays

yes it would be great to own xrays.
but i might be the only one having it within a 200 mile radius...i can practically forget getting support so it's a no no.
i leaning towards the TB evo III and the FTTC3..but my biggest worry is that it will die off soon.will it?has there been announcement regarding the future of the TC3?

If you go for the TC3, I strongly recommend that you take the team version, insted of the FT. The extra goodies in the FT wont make it faster, it's mainly ey-candy. In short: The team-version has a lot more value for money.

Of the ones you mention, I would go with the Evo3. Reasons: Support. Lots of good parts. New design. Good quality. Good reputation.

What about the Mission?

Oh, I forgot: The TC3 aint very durable, the A-arms brake quite easily. And the bearings arent lasting too good. Even not in the FT version.

Default I would get a Sport TC3....

I use to waste all my money on eye candy junk. Just get a Pengiun bumper, front shiny cvds, steering bearings, and IRS alum input shafts. Later if you want get a alum center shaft (looks cool for $7), alum screw set or threaded shocks. Plus you get a race body and tires. With what you save get some good batteries or Novak's new brushless motor & speedo. You can take a look at it at
www.wildhobbies.com Its looking going to change Rc for the better! My two cents

I know it is off your budget.

You can try to get used MR4-TC SP and buy the options parts including all the SSG chassis and upperdeck. You can will flex a little more.

Or try to get your hands on the SSG 414M2.
