Default Beginner to the electric world.

Hi everyone,
I would firstly like to introduce myself to this forum, as I am considering coming into the electric world.
Just wondering if there is an FAQ on all electric topics, such as what the turns of motors mean (also how I know what to look for when purchasing a new one), speed controllers, set-up are all about.etc.

The current car I am looking at as a beginner is the Tamiya TT-01 series car which will be great to get me started. I am looking at drifting, so any advice/ guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Read the following about motors.

Are you doing any organized drifting or just bashing in the street? Budget?

You may want to check out the official drifting thread for more specific info.
