Doug or Brandon:

The Mini results link is pulling the Novak 13.5 results. Just a heads up. Here's the link:

Default Changing the rule without adding cost

This is obviously not a new problem, I think it is great that Scotty has created a level playing field but many races do not hinder 'cranking' and I believe this causes a problem to racers who don't want to 'stretch' the rules.'

I actually agree that we should just eliminate the rule against this. It doesn't require expensive high technology to crank a comm. If we drop it as a rule, there is no longer an advantage to those who either:

a) Might want to cheat

b) Have access to high volumes of arms that get resold, thus being able to cull out those coming from the factory with advanced timing.

Cranking, if not illegal, is just a risk to that racer. This is no different than running with too high of a rollout.

Trying to increase tolerances on rc electric motors will add cost to the end user hinted by EP @ the big T.
Every year or so there is always a new stock motor ...ex. green, monster, binary, roar legal,co27,x..and the list goes on.
Just eliminate the fixed end-bell rule all together, make a round can with adj. timing and bushings.
My guess lap times will not improve that much but the issue of some people cheating in stock-a fied would be minimized.
The honest truth stock is not what it's meant to be. Racers are always
looking for that extra edge. Just the nature of tuning the stock motor by aligning the brush hoods to me, IMO, VOIDS the stock class.

Just wanted to thank scotty and the crew for once again running the best race out there. I have been to the Novak race 3 times now and it is by far and away my favorite big event.

Thanks guys, for continuing to raise the bar for rc racing and making big races fun for everyone.

Thank you barry! you were a big help this week! thanks for giving me and my dad some great pointers.

Just curious? i was on the teamxray.com website for the 2007 US Touring Car Championship and my name was not up there for the news and the results of the race? the say team xray made 3 wins and 2 TQ's but since i won and TQ'ed that would make it 4 wins and 3 TQ's. I conacted Xray about the situation and is their any way i can get my name up there?

Anyway. Good job Barry! you made Xray proud! that car is really working out for you! Have safe trip home! it's now 8 months before your home becomes mine!

I'd like to Thank the weather. Thanks weather for not being -10 all week.

Thanks weather for letting the sun out and turning off the wind.

Really though, everyone here at Novak would like to thank all the racers and of course everyone on the Trackside Crew! Scotty ran himself ragged again and put on a great show with lots of help from the guys.

Congrats to all the class winners, even if you didn't run a Novak ESC....

We had a great time, and saw another full week of great racing action.

See you all next year!
