i wanted to thank the staff at extreme r/c for placing FOCARS in the top ten in the country! FOCARS has only been around for three years, but eveyr year it grows a little bit more!i called and spoke to the "wort" and he told me extreme had chosen to mention some of the more obvious series in the country and some of the not so obvious. i think FOCARS falls into the later category.
what has been overlooked is the article itself was very well written and explains why a racer would run in a state series.
YES it's true a racer can stay local and race the same 15 guys week in and week out. never knowing his full potential.
YES it's true sponsors are looking at the results from these series and are picking up drivers all the time. no less than twenty drivers in the FOCARS series have been picked up and sponsored in one form or another in the last two years!
YES it's true winning every week at the local club is not enough! if you want to further test your skills you will need to try a sate series to realy see how you stack up against the best in the state!
YES it's true state series have a much stricter set of guide lines to help keep costs down and the racing very close! usualy a state series will have a full time tech dept and better organized rules.
IF your ready to go to the next level you will need to try a state series asap!
florida has it made, we have a state series for every type of racing!
check them all out!
