Are you planning to race it? If you are, then I would suggest a Cyclone S or Xray T2R. Both of these are entry level cars around the £150 mark. IMO the Cyclone is the better car, but many people will argue that fact.

Hot Bodies make the Cyclone, and Xray make the T2R. Both have excellent websites with loads of info.

i wasnt thinking of racing it straight away just to play around with to start,
Ive got to look into where i can take it first before i think about racing

Do you know if tamiya are any good i was looking at the skyline kit one

Most of the Tamiya kits, like the Skyline one you mention, are ok for mucking about, but when you come to race, you'll have to upgrade it. Personally, I would try and find a local club and go along and see what they race their. Car park bashing is only fun for about ten minutes, and then you'll want to race.

Its better to buy a car supported by your local club, as then you have access to spares, set up tips etc.

Where abouts are you from?
