I am looking at getting a new car, I race indoor carpet and got the pro 4 used and loved racing, I want to get more serious into it and not too sure what to get, everyone that races there has the RDX or the T2R. any info or recommendations would be appreciated.

I went from HPI Pro4 to Xray T2 and instantly became less eratic at driving. TQ'd and won the main on the first night of racing the T2. Built to factory setup and this car worked as soon as I put the car on the ground. I felt that my previous car actually held me back. No doubt that the Pro4 is a proven car, but it didn't work for me. Nothing but props for the T2. Other guys bought the T2 and improved alot.

I dont have any experience with an RDX, but I beleive they are fairly pricey, I have a T2R and absolutley love it. I have only had it for a month or so and it keeps getting better, and there are still many tuning things that I want to do, but I am only applying one set of changes per meeting to see how the performace changes. last race meeting I picked up 2 firsts and 2 seconds (out of 4 races) in the main I finished 0.5sec beind the guy who has been dominating this class for ages, he was doing an extra 2 laps over me with my FK04 last month, but with all the tuning options still available to me I believe I will be giving him a good run for his money over the next few months...

Though, I drive a Tamiya. But I would advice you to get a HB Cyclone.As some of the parts are compatible to the PRO 4. So you can still your old PRO 4 suspension parts on the cyclone.

One reason why I did not jump ship to other brands is because Tamiya parts are compatible from 1 chassis to another.

Cyclone is a fantastic car and all the suspension and axles are from pro4
hobby is expensive enough why not use the old spares.

the axles from the pro4 aren't the same the cyclone. The same parts are arms, hubs. hing pins, toe blocks and some diff parts. I would sudgest going for a cyclone since you already have the pro4.

Hi,

the axles and the universal rebuild parts are the same but it is the dogbones that are not the same.
But yes i would have to agree that the HB Cyclone would be the way to go as several parts are interchangable, but i guess that would also depend on how much parts your LHS stocks. Damn fine car if i say so myself

cyclone gets my vote.i have driven about all of the cars out.they are all great but the cyclone was the choice i made and have never looked back this whole year.its a great car
