Can Brushless ESCs be used as limiters.
Can Brushless ESCs be used as limiters, set to a precise power output limits when connected to the same model motor.
Given the electronic nature and the precise linking of motor RPM and the output of the ESC, and the elimination of variables like comms, brushes and springs) wouldn't it be possible switch the ESC between say low med and high, or stock spec,19t spec and mod spec, or simply have adjustment screw/pot and a LED readout of the output equvalence in turns.
However it is done you could have one motor and one ESC capable of being used for multiple classes.
also you could instigate a handicap system for club races, where the winner would have to adjust out a click of power and/or the losers up a click.

de tech people at the race will need a rollerbank -> a set of rolls witch you can put the car on and see how much power it is putting out ... that said
YES it can easyly be done .. by limmiting rpm and limmitting amp draw
then you`ll get rid off the battery issue`s also ... cause everone is getting the same amp draw`s .......

It could also be done on the EPA setting on your radio, but it won't be as accurate. The problem I see is how a race would be able to stay on top of tech and keep people from cheating. Unfortunately all drivers are not equal.

Mamba Max is already on it.
They have five settings for each motor.
Very High
High
Normal
Low
Very Low
With the 4600 motor from Mamba a Low setting is about a good 19T.
Normal is a bit more than a good 19T more like a 16T
High is more like a 12-13T
Very high is like a 10-12T depending on gearing.
Very low I suspect woudl be close to a 27T.
Their 5700 on normal is around a 8-10T
THe 7700 is like 5-7T
But I suspect you could mess with whatever you are trying to accomplish.
I found that the 4700 is very versatile.

Since the Mamba Max uses a USB to change settings, once you all agree on a setting, than before the race you have the race director reprogram the ESC's.
It is very easy to do. Takes like 15 seconds to complete.
