Racer's chargers
I am in the market for a new charger. I have a Duratrax Intellapeak I'm giving my wife to use for her Micro. I need something better to charge 3000mah NiMH packs.

What kind of charger/power supply do you use?
What type of battery packs are you charging (4cell, 6cell, NiCD, NiMH)?
What do you like best about your charger?
What don't you like about your charger?
Thanks

CE Pitbull and Turbo 35
Eagle/Integy PS
GP3300 and 3000HV
Best: Tons of adjustibility from both and they never false peak
Worst: the T35 is pricey

1. Novak Millenium Pro and a powersupply I made from a computer.
2. 6 cell 2400 NiCD and 3000HV NiMH for cars and 8 cell 1800 mah NiMH for transmitter batteries.
3. It charges well, it's easy to use, and it has the pit-wizard built in.
4.Nothing really, maybe just the case is easy to get dirty.

Novak Millenium Pro and CE Turbo 35BL w/ Rivergate 30 amp bulldog power supply
I run Pana 3000's, Sanyo 3000HV's, GP 3300's..all 6 cell...for now.
Both the 35 and the Millenium i like the adjustability with charge parameters and I like the ability to cycle/discharge and run motors on teh T35.
I agree with CGR, the T35 is pricey, but worth every penny.

3.All the extra functions on the charger.MINE WORKS.all of it.
noticable extra punch compared to other chargers using SAME CHARGE RATE AND THRESHOLD AND SAME CELLS.
4.Many.Blue backlight flickers.unreadable at night.bad colors.
maybe my old packs are bad but i have a feeling the charger is false peaking(only a feeling) with old packs.
welcome.

1. Eagle CDC6.0/B charger and a 22 amp power supply (no brand, just an aluminum finished rectangular thing thats a bit bigger than the eagle charger - looks like an OEM power supply for something)
2. sanyo 2400 nicads (looking forward to owning 3300s)
3. best feature: ability to cycle all of my batts - glow plug igniter batt, 4-cell receiver pack, 8-cell radio pack, and 6-cell race packs
4. 2 not-so-great features: 1) no motor run feature
and 2) PP3 also has one

1. Novak Millenium, Orion D67, Indi 16x5 v6 - Rivergate PS
2. 4 / 6 cell - 3000HV's, 2400's, and both flavors of 3300's
3. All three chargers have their individual qualities, but the Indi charger has the best functions... IR, single cell charging, cycling. Orion has temp charging - great until the summer time here (AZ) as the ambient temp tends to be too high and the charger shuts off early
4. no motor run in features....

Integy 16X7 Pro
AC/DC in a small package (no P/S required)
Charges/Discharges/Cycles 1-8 Cells
Cells from 50-6000mah
Amps from 0.1 to 6
Discharge up to 20amps
Great Price!
I use this charger on the following cells:
6 cell 3000HV
4 cell 3000HV
6 cell 3300 (GP and Sanyo)
4 cell 3300 (GP and Sanyo)
1100mah receiver pack
1100mah transmitter pack
individual cells for glow igniter
The only thing I didn't like was how loud the chirper was, so I covered it with some racer tape ... problem solved!

What kind of charger/power supply do you use?
Turbo 35 GFX and a Pro Trak
What type of battery packs are you charging (4cell, 6cell, NiCD, NiMH)?
3 smh 3000's
1 3000 hv's
4 gp 3300's
What do you like best about your charger?
The turbo 35 gfx does everything you would need. The Pro trak gives you individual cell monitoring when you hook up the extra leads.
What don't you like about your charger?
Both were expensive but worth every penny.
I hope this helps

1. CE Turbo 35BL/Novak N-Power(10amp max)
2. 6cell/NiMH
3. The Peak Detection, it charges, discharges, cycles, has a motor feature for running lathes or breaking in brushes on motors and it has a serial port for priniting out discharge curves when cycling packs.
4. I wish it were smaller and could discharge below 10amps for cells smaller than sub-c's.
