Default 200mm direct drive touring car

Does any1 make a direction drive touring car that has a width of 200mm? I would like a simple car to bash around that isnt so complicated to work on like 4wd touring cars... i knw Tamiya makes them but they are not 200mm are they? I want something that can go to 210 mm wif offset wheels.

If you understand the construction/design of the Tamiya Direct drive car...you know you can SHIM the rear axle enough to be 200mm or even 210mm (with 2mm offset adaptor plus 2mm offset tires...) About the front, you might have to custom cut a chassis that has a wider front...may be some Assoicated parts along with the driect drive front axle...

To be honest...the 2WD car without some high traction track, is no easier (fun) then 4WD...far from it.

Why does it have to be 200mm?

CRC has the Pantoura, a 200mm direct drive pan-style car. It has a centrally mounted battery, and conventional Pan-car front-end.

Speed Merchant - Speed Spec We have a class at our local track dedicated to these chassis, and they are a ton of fun.

4 cells, silver can motors (Mabuchi or Johnson) any ESC, any servo, 5 minutes. We run theme bodies. Last month was muscle cars, this month will be super cars. Someone wanted to run pick-up trucks, that will be put in the que.

The chassis are thick fiberglass, pro-10 axles and old skool front suspensions to make things easy. Tires are pink rear, purple front Jacos.

Sorry, I forgot about the 235mm thing (one can hope, right?).. my bad. No, we are running them at 200mm. There is plenty of room on that axle to shim to 210 if you'd like. The themed shells aren't mandatory, it just makes racing more fun. Besides, you break so few parts on these cars, $28 a month isn't really that bad a deal in keeping current. We are racing on carpet. Right now our Tuesdays are better in the summer than this past winter. It must be the BBQ.

i'm no expert on the pancars, but i wonder how the offset on an oval axle would be, they run at ~210mm stock.. Maybe just a 10LSS. i think they may be 210mm and symetrical.. ever try to run one of them on asphalt? i'm dreaming of a car for my VERY young kids to get started with, and i already have a MAX10 (three shock 10L2 converted by PRC), so i'd get to share some parts which would be nice..

That sounds like a blast, I have already started asking if we can start doing that
