Do you have the alloy C-hubs on your car atm??
Using the alloy C-Hub isnt all that good, when u hit something it directs the damage to the next best break point which might be the front knuckles in your case. ( I think thats rite ) See how u go with the C-Hubs off, or if you still want to get aloy parts go for Team Xray or Team Tamale. |
Use the aluminum steering blocks, stick with the stock "C" hubs
|
Nah im not useing the alloy c hubs (team tamale) because theyre missing the bushes.
\ Thanks ill have a look on the team tamale site. |

Stop hitting the walls. Use a P-dub bumper. Do not use aluminum castor blocks. You will break stuff that way.

While I know its not what your looking for exactly. I switched out to P-Dubs ultra stiff bumper for the T2 and I stopped having problems breaking front steering blocks.

P Dub Bumper and the front end is almost bullet proof....

I'll second (or third) the use of a P-Dub bumper....... Priceless!!

P-dub Yep Yep Yep
Boy that P-Dub bumper seems so so hard in the shop ... but told to consider how much energy you need to absorb sometimes, on LHS owner advice I said, sure, I'll take it. Now I'm pretty sure it's saved me multiple parts. Took a brutal front on hit this weekend, pushing hard, misjudging a funky turn, hit a pipe just solid enough to launch my car like *BOOM* about 9 feet, ugly backflipping way up in the air, landed feet first, still finished the heat, nothing broke, finished a new personal best.
Not hitting stuff is best, but ... I do also have aluminum steering knuckles and I love them. Like DodgeGuy is saying, something has to give if you make a mistake, just decide what you want it to be, something that may allow you to finish a heat and also is easy/cheap to change out. If everything is metal, they bend, equals expensive for Mum to pay to have fixed. Decide what you want the weak point to be. For me, it's not the knuckles, broken too many of those on the trucks, I prefer to make it other parts. Enjoy! |
Team Tamale
I would say...go for the Team Tamale stuff...his alloy is quite a bit more durable than Xray benda-ilium :p ...had to throw that in there..
. but even if you do get the alloy stuff...a PDUB is always a great investment to have..will save the other breakable parts attached to those nice alloy pieces. just my 2cents from prior experience...not trying to start any chaos. |
