Default Launch of Intellect Battery SC-4200 Universe Champion edition cell

Im all up for new technology/improvements, but do they need to release a new cell every time they find something they can improve.

If it is in fact that much better, enough to release a new cell then it must be noticeable on track rendering my old cells useless. In theory.

I know the SHV or the HV cells will probably be just as good in reality so why release new cells so often

Sorry for the thread creation but it just gets a little annoying.

I could understand if every company did it. but they dont...

Im sure if they wanted to, an ESC manufacturer could release a speedo with less resistance every couple of weeks or whatever. But.. they dont.

As manufacturers/tuners/matchers we are in constant revision of our product lines. it would be easier on us to wait until a annual time to release new stuff both from an inventory control as well as a marketing angle. However having said this because of things like this forum here, word gets out very fast to those that care. If we were to wait and sit on product sombody else would simply release it and then we would be behind. As long as there is competition between companies you will see new releases come faster and faster. Do not be suprised if new tech starts coming out quartery and even monthly some day. If people would learn to work with each other beyond there own club level into a more structured national level, (like a ROAR) then none of this would matter as there would be broad rules in place to benefit the racer. As it stands now ROAR only influences the purchasing of less then 1% of the RC car market. The manufacturers have to make the other 99% of the customers happy as well and they want the latest and greatest.
