Default Which way should bit face?

Help,
I just got the "Integy X-MOD Super Lathe 3" but the bit seems to be for a right sided lathe? HOW DOES THIS BIT FACE? Should the hook tip face down or to the left?

Thanks, I have it set up correctly (pointing down). This the carbide bit but it's must be a new style, it has a very small almost neddle size tip. But it does make a nice satin smooth cut.
