New Factory Team ITF Chassis Kit for the FT TC4 "Only"...?

hi im "New" to RC Cars...but i know alittle anyway... my first RC Car is on the way...TC4 RTR..i notice theres a few version of the TC4: FT and ITF

the website of Ae stated that theres a new Factory Team ITF Chassis Kit for the FT TC4
http://www.teamassociated.com/newpr...od_ft.htm#31136

which one is better FT or the New Chassis ITF..?
i was wondering "if" this is for FT TC4 "Only", can i upgrade it from an RTR kit to ITF Chassis..? or..... do i have to upgrade my RTR kit to FT and then ITF

thanks for helping out...

I just went though this process...

What type of racing are doing? Asphalt, or carpet?

If Asphalt and you are running 19T motor or Mod, I would recommend the ITF, but this is only if you are not able to get the traction you need from the FT kit. The ITF is for extra flex over the FT, which is need in low traction racing. The FT would work just fine for carpet.

You can purchase the FT upgrade kit and it will convert your RTR to a FT car. BUT…. If you are new and you are not racing, I would not recommend this… the FT kits from any manufacture are for racing and not hitting things… the insides will come out if you hit hard enough or enough times…. No amount of double sided tape will keep or protect your equipment in a double deck CF car… The version you have is a tub, and this is best for bashing and learning, as it protects the insides better.

If you go to the ITF, you first need the upgrade kit for the FT then you purchase the ITF upgrade, which should only be the 2 desks and center.

Hope this helps…

it did..thanks knowing that the only way to upgrade to an ITF is from an FT..not from RTR... btw.... i use my RC to race , drift , ect.... i dont "Like" Bashing the Car....i will take it out to a local Running Track..tho..

SO.... is the ITF adds more speed to it?..

I would not say it adds speed, but allows for more traction on low bite tracks... So that may get you a faster time, as your car is allowing the power to get to the ground better, in low traction tracks...
