Integy Tire truer questions

Hello all,

I am curious if anyone else who owns this machine has ever tried to replace the motor in it? Its a really nice truer IMHO but it just doesnt have the ponies to do its job properly. I am wondering if i could get a different tourquier motor for it. Perhaps the HUDY motor would fit?

Installing the Hudy motor does require some minor modifications.....

1). you have to remove the plate from the Integy motor and reuse it on the Hudy motor.
2). remove (unsolder) both of the Dean's plugs from the circuit board on the Integy truer.... they will not clear the larger diameter Hudy motor.
3). direct solder the motor and 12V DC input to the circuit board.
4). turn the ON/OFF switch upside down as it will not clear the motor.
5). remove the fuse holder and stuff it inside the case or remount it somewhere else as it will not clear the motor in it's stock location. I also recommend putting a 30A fuse instead of a 20A fuse in there.

So........ for $218 ($110 for the used Integy AutoCut Truer, $25 for a Hudy carbide bit and $83 for the Hudy motor) I have an Automatic truer that kicks but

It's a HUDY in Integy clothing
