hey guys,

i am new to rc racing and have a tt-01. i race in a novice class but i get beaten every week, not because of my driving because of my car. Anyone know of some good hop ups or tweaks to get a bit more punch out of my car??

First thing i would try would be smaller spur / larger pinion combination

better batteries maybe 4200 dont need to be matched but ferals are cheap so
bearing weight loss etc etc look at droop better tires etc
if u all run 540 motors try running it in brasso for 30 sec then clean it with electrical cleaner/motor spray finally lube bushings and comm drops
do u make any mistakes? run wide spin etc etc??? be honest cause they will loose u more time than the best gear will make up.
dw man i still make heaps of errors and if u dont congrats ur a better driver

When I first put my TT-01 on the track I also wasn't too happy.

So, I changed the gearing (55/25), replaced the shocks with oil filled ones, springs and tyres. I also replaced the propshaft with the aluminium one and installed bearings.

I am quite happy with it now, the only thing stopping me from doing better in races is my bad driving.

ok thanks guys.....so how much did it cost u to get the aluminium drive shaft, oil dampers and some tyres
