I'll have pics once I get my hands on one and get it in the car.... The big hold up has been that making the parts takes a lot of time. So someone was given the job but had so much other work that the spools kept getting pushed back and back. Now there is a new person making them things are moving along. I have been told that the finish on the machined delrin outdrives looks extra sweet as well. Currently this new dude is keen to have the work so as long as that continues then parts will be made and made soon.

It wouldn't matter anyway. The original designer has moved on so if they released a new car it would just be another t-tech look alike. I am still pretty happy with mine, always a weapon but am thinking of moving on too.... The awesomatix looks very very kewl and I get to continue having a more original/rare chassis...

Don't get me wrong the Losi still is a great car, but things like the diff turning into a spool under acceleration like Paul showed me at the SA titles, getting harder for spares and the like it's no wonder people are moving on.
I thought you looked keen on the Awesomatrix car and I must say on their little movie the car looked a weapon.

Paul has a trick diff which has a bearing in it that eliminates that problem. My diff is very very good anyway as I have worked out all the best things you can do with it and fresh built requires basically full power to convert to a spool. I personally haven't had problems getting spares, but if they have officially discontinued the car then it will be a problem sooner or later. They do however still produce parts for the XXX-S which is far older.

I wouldn't read too much into the performance of the awesomatix from a vid with it running by its self. It dose however have some very nice features, and will be a nice change. It also looks to have the most robust drive train I have seen in a TC which I can appreciate when racing mod. est of all it is different (like the losi) so will simply be more fun to play with than another car that looks the same as the rest.

they are used to replace the alu chassis supports.

Personally I dont like the exotek replacements, and just used the standard losi supports, but have turned them 180degrees to make it not touch the exotek top deck, hope that makes sense.

I have loved driving the Type R's for years, i have had a few of them, however it's time for me to try something different.....

I have 2 Type R's for sale in the "for sale thread" and they both have the Flying Fox shafts in them if you know of anyone looking for a smoking deal on 2 Type R's with a ton of parts!!!

Thanks.

Hi, first time building my new JRXS R.
How come the shocks were not smooth? It's really tight the first time
I installed it in the shock body. How do you smoothen out the action?
Thanks.

Yes,me.
But sand it down a bit,not too much, just do test by fitting into shock body to check.
