Hey guys, wondering if any of you have a good carpet setup for this car. Running in RCGT indoors on x-patterns.

What bodies are you guys using??? I have the Tamiya ta05v2 body from my other kit that is for sale, I know i can re-drill it, but will another body provide me with better traction??? Let's say a HPI Ford GT or a HPI Porsche???

Look at it this way guys if you win you can say that you beat 'em with a $200 discontinued car against their $550 Xray. LOL

Think you have to order from Australia for Flying Fox www.flyingfoxrc.com If anyone knows of a North American distributer please let us know. Exotek can be ordered from their site www.exotekracing.com

Well, raced the type r again today. The car was sweet all day. We ran 1 heat race & triple A mains. We finished 1st, 1st, 2nd by a fender, and 1st. That gave us the overall and we turned the fastest lap times too.
So now our record with this car is 3 wins & 1 second.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE this car?

For sure you want a body that looks as close to a TC body as possible. it will give you more steering. The HPI BMW series coup was my fav.
This setup is for a small tight track and I ran 17.5. If you run 21.5 I would go 15 springs all the way around with 1.5mm of droop above ride height if the car is sluggish running the 2mm.
Very aggressive steering!

Search this thread for my username, I posted how to modify the pulleys to fit just about any lipo, its not very hard and will make your life alot easier. (this was probably a year or more ago).

Thanks Mike,

I bought the FlyingFox shaft which should help with that and i will mod my stock one just in case. This car will be mostly for club racing once I get back to the US from overseas so I wanted to see what others were running. I myself prefer bullet plug lipos. The one I was thinking about is listed below..
