I haven't raced in 7 weeks because i've been looking for a topdeck, mine broke. Finally my lhs found one for me on a locator from another hobby shop going out of buisiness, now I can put it back together and start racing again!

Forgive me as I am new to the Type R, but are any of you guys looking at the Litemodz CVD as an upgrade for the Type R? Is it even an option now or in the future?

The factory LCD's and RCD's are great. I wouldn't bother,

Anyone have a setup sheet for medium, tight asphalt, rubber tires? Need a starting point. Bought the car used, added electronics and am racing. No idea current setup, has issues with spin out, looks like chassis in rear may be hitting occasionally and causing spin out. Want to set car to baseline and start new adjustments with known measurements.

Try_Hard has a setup posted a page or so back. That would be a good starting point.

Chip, I occasionally have problems with the rear of the car spinning out & having no traction out of corners. It has been my experiance is that it's usually becase the rear diff needs to be at the minimum cleaned, balls & rings cleaned, along with pulley itself. When those are clean with a fresh application of diff grease, my rear end is as planted as the best of them!

As far as setups are concerned, you can never go wrond with any of Mike Haynes set ups!

Here's my current set-up which is based off of STLNST's 07' Speedworld set-up...

FRONT:

Toe: 0
Ride Height: 5.5mm
Camber: -1
Caster: 4
Droop: 1mm above ride height
Front Pivot: 0
Roll Center: Low
Arm Spacing: Middle
Shock Position: 2
Steering Rack: 2 spindle ackerman: 1
Camber Link: 1
Camber Ball Stud: JR Low
Sway Bar: .040
Drive: Losi Slipper Spool
Pulley: 41 overdrive spool
Diff Height: High
Hex Width: .165
Shocks: 40 oil, 56 Piston, 15# Spring, 2 o-ring above stock bladder, no rebound.

REAR:

Toe: 2
Ride Height: 5.5mm
Droop: 2mm above ride height
Camber: -1
Hub: 0
Rear Pivot: 1
Roll Center: .030 shims under blocks
Arm Spacing: Foward
Shock Position: 1
Camber Link: 2/B
Camber Link: Stock
Sway Bar: None
Diff Height: Low
Hex Width: .225
Shocks: 35 oil, 56 piston, 17.5 spring, two o-ring above stock bladder, no rebound.

Tires: Sorex 36R-40R
Track Temp: 130-150 degrees

I very seldom stray from this setup. The latest change I did was change the rear inner camber link position from the #5 hole up to the #2 hole.

Doesn't this setup make the rear a lot wider than the front? the car is not loose?
