I'm finishing them of as we speak. I will PM you today. Spool on carpet sounds interesting. Do you guy run traction compound or is that not allowed.

Corally Jack the Gripper, Full rear coverage, 1/2 to 3/4 front coverage depending on grip. More grip, less front sauce. Spool is very interesting!

Thanks but was asking if a particular track in Western Austraia permits the use of traction compound or not. Some tracks don't which would explain why someone is finding a spool to be useful on carpet.

Oh shite , sorry about that. Our track is Jack only due to its chemical composition. It doesn't break down the fiber and doesn't smell like grandpa's wintergreen linament cream. Getting traction on unprepped carpet would be a pain.

+1 there were complaints about the paragon smell being too strong and it being hard on carpet.

I guess with the new bling bling spool arriving I'm going to have to find a setup that works for me with it. The one-way has been faster for me on the rug.

We have a series that's not allowing one ways due to "lack of braking", but spools are allowed.

That rule and I would not get along very well.

I agree I much prefer a oneway on carpet.. But that said I have never run rubber on carpet so that may change the rules. Its a funny thing but these days with modern chassis the spool can be very fast over a lap... extremly close to a oneway.

The thought behind it is that it eliminates some of the T-bone type accidents that occur when a car spins ahead of other racers in traffic. So far I've noticed no major difference between diff and one way on carpet with rubber tires. So, I'm trying the spool to help the car claw its way out of the corners.

I tend to find that incidents are more a result of bad driving than bad setup. That said accidents do happen.

My brother was doing some testing with flex and top decks and managed to shatter the lap record. Although this wasn't a losi it is getting me interested in gutting out my deck.
