I always run high roll centers, solid link(NO Jr link) and Flying Fox shafts....

Which kind of belt is fitted on the losi type R?

A Gates GT3 is the same pitch(3mm) and profile. You would have to get it cut to the right width though. The Gates GT3 is a glass fibre reinforced rubber belt. The Losi belts appear to be aramid(kevlar) reinforced polyurathane belt. I've been looking into this for a while now. As dragonfire said, you'd be hard pressed to find a better belt than the kit belts.

I'm very happy to hear about that. I've got a spool here with your name on it.

You can get most of it from the pics. This one shows rear camber link positions, rear tow and shock angle. Looks like he has high front diff(probably spool) and low rear diff.

We need to track down that guy at the Euros and pinch his setup. Liking the top deck, looks VERY similar to mine

On Pic#5 has anyone noticed the locknut sneakily next to the servo? Has he made a protector for the servo wire?

I see he used a button head screw for FR camber to a Castor blcok, I think I got better one then that, I took a med set screw from LOSA6248 thread locked to LOSA6054 ball end to created a perfect length ball end / king pin for my car.

no more popping a ball cup to do front maintanace that makes front end sloppy.

your right about that nut

he made a lexan piece to guard his AMB and a servo wires from the FR belt.

I wonder why didnt he just go top of the servo

I recently aquired another Losi Type-R and to add more flex I cut the top deck, by looking at the picture here I see I'm not the only one whe did this. Also check the mount for the batterie tray, it's only held on by the rear mounts.

Thanks Pablo
Fact is I'm not after a better belt. I found Losi quality to be top notch in this. Being a former Xdriver I was spoiled with "oh, it's broken again" belt.

Fact is that I'm going in holiday in the next days, and I would like to give my Solid Edge a summer job...
