Actually 2 lipo's equal 7.4volts....Not 7.2.

Screw 4 cells, it's just a backhanded attempt at keeping NiMH relevant.

I feel it is a lot better especially on lower traction tracks. By moving the motor to the back of the car we gain traction and steering.

But with companies like Corally and X-ray producing foam and rubber cars, promoting this as a foam car could and is making people feel this is a one dimensional car...and it's not.

We wanted to appease the foam tire car market with the release of the car during the fall/winter racing season. We could of easily came out with a rubber tire kit. However the only changes would be front drive choice, oneway or spool, springs and oil. Other than that the kit is ready to tear up the asphalt. In the past Team Losi has traditionally came out with rubber tire setups on the release of all their onroad kits. This time we chose the opposite. We do not need to run a thinner chassis for our car to work on asphalt as others may think they have to. We have some flex characteristics that are in the top plate and side braces. That should be enough. Another problem with releasing two kits is for dealers. Do you make them buy both kits? That is a lot of money for a dealer to spend to stock both kits.

Can you let me know what the running weight of the JRXS type-R.
As the JRXS is a heavy car.
Also will the balance of the car still be ok running 4 cells.
I think our balance with 4 cells will be awesome considering all the weight is centered. My car at IIC weighed a bit over 53 oz. Maybe 53.5 at the most. With 4 Cells you will be able to move the weight forward and back depending on your traction preference.

Todd I was wondering if you would not mind explaining why the Europeans like a one way up front and most Americans use a ball diff? Is one better suited for carpet over asphalt? thanks......

Mr. Todgemahall,
Will there be optional aluminum front and rear, outer pivot blocks? (as shown in the pics)

I ran a spool all season on asphalt and really liked it. It comes down to personal preference if you ask me, but since you weren't I will let Todd truely answer your question.

Generally on carpet with rubber tires the car work has a smoother feel with good steering with a oneway. A spool will make the car feel really edgy off center and have less steering with carpet/rubber tires. Generally Americans will run the same as the Europeans on carpet withe rubber tire. On asphalt we tend to run on tracks that are a lot smaller so we need the braking capabilities that a spool has to offer. Europeans are fortunate to have huge flowing tracks that they race on where oneways are advantageous to use since braking is very minimal if any.
