I could not get a 5200 40C SMC pack to fit in my car. The new 4700 pack should work, but you may have to grind down the humps on the bottom. I have not got my pack to try yet.
brian, what setup are you running on your rubber car???

I was considering moding the alloy diff section to fit a d-ring on that side too but thought it might case more problems than it solved. I'm glade to here that I'm a noob for not doing it and the diffs a better. It will be done in the next rebuild session.

I have been running pretty close to what Larry and the boys run. Been playing around with stuff to see if I can make it any better. Rebuilding a car for Newberg, so we will be in full test mode soon.

I will see if I can find a camera and get a pic of the diff halves.

But it works fine and the plastic diff out drive will fit in just fine. We have been doing it for a little bit now seems to allow you to run the diff a little looser but still be tight.
Speaking of diffs, had a huge fight with mine last night only to find that the molded hole in the center of the diff pulley is like 1/16th too big!! Also the brass cage in one of my diffs made a pretty cool metallic flake for paint . Any suggestions on what to use for a thrust bearing instead of that losi one?

Right now i had to reassemble w/ the one that was in the car and it feel slike there is a high spot somewhere, and i'm blaming the thrust bearing.

Ditto what Goat said. I've had yet to actually replace one. I usually just clean them and regrease em and go.

And as for the PINK car in that photo... you should find a pic of Ron's car. He's never driven a pink car and probably never will.
