Anyway, I combed this thread a while ago and remember seeing some of the similaritys between the Type R and the JRXS pro listed... I know a guy who still has a huge parts lot and offered to give me what was in it. He had the pro. I know the shocks are identical plus I've cross referenced some of the small parts as the same; but I'm curious what else carries over? (I used the JRXS layshaft in my build BTW.) I am most curious about outer suspension parts. Thanks...
C-hubs, rear blocks, some of the bearings, body mounts, the arms will fit but i've never seen anyone use them, the rear lcd's i think are also the same or similar. Haven't tried the hinge pin blocks yet but they look similar the type r ones are beefier though, haven't bent one yet and i used to bend them constantly on the pro.

Thanks for the reply. I was at the local shop and just happened to look at the steering block/caster block parts for a XXXS and they look pretty similar. I already broke a caster block and so did my friend who recently got the car as well. We both agreed that for us amateurs, this is a weak spot on the car. (I am running a pretty stupid amount of power for how tight our track is though... )

I am wondering if it would be cool to try the 6 degree blocks? Our track is pretty tight on medium grip carpet. I think my car handles pretty damn good even being excessively over-powered, so I'm curious the difference...

the Haynes, fairtrace, or schreff rubber tire setups all will with blues. I posted them a little bit back.

Default jaco blues

i meant a setup for jaco blues on asphalt not carpet, sorry.

was also wondering what the difference was between 1 degree hub compared to a 1 degree offset hub? how would the car react, and which ones r used the most for asphalt setups.

thanks
Luis

The offset hubs are for using the short length in the arms, I personally have never run that, I imagine it will make the car rotate harder, but might be too much.

Here is fairtrace's setup from the reedy race, but honestly I ran virtually the same setup on asphalt this summer as I do now on carpet, except that on asphalt I used narrow hexes all around, and use wider on carpet.

I ran my car with the plastic tray and by the time I placed the lead on the opposite side of the ESC to ballance the car I was about 6 grams over weight. With the tray, I was almost 90g over. This was on foam tires with a trakpower 4900 lipo, and the Losi esc.

Weight it all out and get in balanced and than see if you really need it.

No worries. Will do that.

Update: Tried going harder in the rear to a 20lb spring, and that helped the car turn in much better with more consistent traction through the turn and coming out under power. Running 20lb upfront as well, and it seems like the go.

Thanks for your help guys!

DO you like it? How does it compare to other batteries you have run?
