I servo taped the battery to the plate and then there are slots for strapping tape as well. I don't think it was necessary but I taped the battery anyways. With the servo tape and the strapping tape that battery is not moving whatsoever. The final product will have better countersinkin and the work should be cleaner. I tested it last night and it works great. The car handles awesome. If you would like one, please pm me and I can give you more info. Let me know what you think or give me feedback. I posted some pictures as you can see.
Your battery tray looks pretty good. Your tray doesn't have a pocket to lock the battery in place. Are you sure 2 pieces of tape will properly hold the battery under a heavy frontal impact? I can just see the battery slamming into the servo, ending your run. I'm a machinist and understand that adding the pocket makes another operation to finish, but how throughly have you tested your concept? I'm not trying to high-jack your business. I just see a glaring concern and wonder if anyone else has noticed this.

you servo tape the battery in and there is no movement, as long as everything is cvlean when you attach them it is not a problem. We clean every plate before they go out. Even with just the strapping tape it holds very nice.

Ah don't worry, you're not highjacking anything. I'm not the one selling them it's my buddy but I provided the test car. I servo taped the length of the battery and it was enough, I just strapped it with the strapping tape for extra security. That battery is honestly not going anywhere. If I where to crash hard enough to where that battery came out of it's place then I would probably worry more about having to get a whole new kit than my servo. BTW, I used the heavy duty industrial servo tape. It's supposed to hold up to 15lbs. I had it on the plastic tray and I had to blow dry and pry the battery off. I almost broke it trying to get it off. It's not going anywhere...really...

Congratulations Schreff, Haynes and Fairtrace! Sounds like the old R isn't just a basher like people were saying. :-) Schreff even put a beat down on the mod guys.

I guess I have to STFU now about the R's ability on rubber tires. I'm happy to be proven wrong!

No, I didn't cause this trouble in this thread. All people need to look at YOHANAN aka yyhayyim is SCAM. He spent my money on his car for parts instead of send my money as refund to paypal.

Its up to him, he will get big cost like attorney, court, file fees and plus subperona to him come to califorina. he asked for it. If he can afford to pay airport tickets. 325.00 will be BIG 600 to 1,000 fee etc he will force to pay.

Anyone using the Core 5000 lipo in their Type R ? I'm thinking of purchasing one to go along with my Orion 4800. I was wondering about the wiring interference with the top deck?

Thanks anyone,
Allen
