Hey guys, here's a setup for those that don't run traction compound for rubber on carpet (ozite). Car drives quite well, and has heaps of on-power steering and a slight push off power. Haven't tried it with any traction compound, so feel free to try and let me know. My local Aussie track does not allow use of compound...

Have fun boys!!

This is what i am using for a base right now, it should be decent for high bite, soften the springs if it dosnt stick enough.

Anyone try Orion 3600 25C pack in their Type R, yet? I just bought one and its rear rubs on the middle shaft pulleys, since its 47mm wide

I'd really hate dremmeling the pack to get it to fit...but maybe its the only way. Unless there's a way to shim out the pulleys 1mm on eah side to make it wider so the 47mm 3600 Orion pack can fit and not rub on the pulleys...

Suggestions? Anyone get one and have the same pblm?

I also had the problem with that pack. Don't worry, just cut down the case. I used a Dremel with a sanding drum and removed a mm from each side. I also use the carbon battery plate and the slots in the plate are wider than the humps on the bottom of the pack. I center the pack and tape it to the plate to keep it from sliding back and forth into the pulleys.

what spur gear are people running with the orion/peak 10.5 motors... can't get the gearing right with the 128, the motor hits the suspension block and can't put on the right size pinion... is there any other make of spur that can be used in the car?

They make other size stock spurs for it and you can also do a PRS spur gear adapter to use those spurs as well.

even with the 118 spur the Orion motor requires dremeling of the suspension block. It is longer than novak or Lrp motors.
