Nice job Mikey! Only call me when you need parts? Wish I could have been there.

Got to look at my car today for the 1st time in 4 weeks today and here is what I ran at the last series race in Dec. I believe it is close to the set-up used in Vegas 2 years ago and pretty close to what I ran at the stock rubber race last year.

front:.5 toe out, 5.5mm ride, .75 camber, 4 caster, 2.5mm droop over ride, 0 pivot, high roll, mid arm, shock 1, 2 rack, 1 spindle, 1 camber link, long arm, one-way, 42 pulley, high, LCD, .165 hex, 40wt, 56 piston, 20 spring, JR link high

rear: 3 toe, 5.5mm ride, 3.5mm droop over ride, 1.5 camber, std hub, high roll, arms back, 2 outside shock, 4b camber with 2mm washer short stud, long arm, diff low, RCD, .165 hex, 32.5wt, 56 piston, 12.5 spring

misc. 13.5 geared 118/45, Mazda 6, RP30, full Paragon front and rear, also been playing with running the back hole in the servo saver arm.

Things I wanted to try for high bite: low roll with 1.5mm spacer, standard front camber link, shorter rear link, less droop.

Why create one when you can just buy one and install it? Here is a link to get a spool pulley: http://www.losipartshouse.com/servle...-Pulley/Detail

Get the spool pulley and pull out the old pulley and diff balls. Clean off the diff lube on the rings and put the new pulley in. Tighten it up.

I usually ran around 4.6-4.8 with a Novak 13.5 motor. This was on a 96x48 and 100x36 track. It also seemed that my car had more rip with a 118 Losi spur rather than using a 112 on the PRS adapter. I didn't run them back to back to actually compare times to see if it was me or actually there was a difference.

they guys i run with now that are running bl with novak 13.5 are using the 128 spur and a 39 pinion gear.i lookes it up gearchart.com and it said like a 6.01 i think.a 40 tooth was like 5.86.so for me to run a 4.6 i would need to gear up...?
i ususallly dont use gear ratio to figure out spead.i used mm rollout.
i also usually run brushed stuff as well.i looked up the rollout in mm with the guys using bl and it was like a 33ish.
but my friend chris is at like a 42ish for rollout.

im not sure which way to go with it.i meen the guys using bl now at my local track-there cars are pretty much faster than my brushed c0 motors....and if i were to gear up more with bl stuff that would take away punch correct...?

Brushless has so much torque, and not as much top end. Gear it up and it should be faster. Go up a couple of teeth and temp the motor. My was usually around 150 or so after 5 minutes. I would run a 118 spur as it will allow you to get closer. I have a 45 pinion in right now with it. Don't think you can make it that high with a 128.

The internal ratio will still be the same only the front will change , the car will gain a more steering but this setup can cause the front tires to overheat in hot(asphalt) outdoor conditions .

with the 13.5 you will have plenty of punch, you can go down to a 110 spur or 112 spur and gear up!! in asphalt we run the 13.5 in the high 3' fdr range with plenty of rip out of the corner, just keep an eye on your motor temps.

Matt.. You realy need to gear up a lot higher.. I know the gear you spoke about 128x39..Thats where I gear my CO27's.. You need to go up a TON.. Try what Brian said run a 118 with pinion to match your tire size to get 37mm roll for Mimis.. Your gona need atleast 118x42

It's easy just glue a piece of header card on one side of each diff ring , take the diff balls out and installed the diff rings with the header card touching the diff pulley and then tighten the diff. This will give you a little slip in an event of a crash

I ordered the Spool pulley from stormer but they come with out the pads...only the pulley is in the bag, so we have to make our own spool...maybe that's why he's asking...

The pads should be preinstalled in the pulley.

I would send it back for it is supposed to have the pads in it. They either sent the wrong one or that one just happened to make it out w/o the pads.
