Some people - too bad the world has them around...

Anyway, I noticed in the first picture of the Gallery on the Losi web site (the one that discribes the new front upper arm) shows a mounted transponder. Obviously this is not included - but my question is: Are the holes in the chassis drilled for this?

if you look at the pics of the bottom of the chassis it looks like there are three small holes around where the transponder is mounted so I would guess yes.

There's only so many major things you can do during your design of a touring car without the risk of making it non-competitive against what currently works. R/C is a business first, and businesses need to sell cars, not appease Internet retards that haven't completed a lap without hitting a board, but still think they're qualified to judge a car simply by its appearance.

The thing I find most interesting about this car's design, aside from the fact that it could seriously take advantage of LiPo's reduced weight, is the little touches. It's clear this car was designed by racers, for racers. There's all kinds of little touches throughout the car with the racer in mind. And ease of maintenance, which is HUGE with complicated touring cars seems to have been carefully considered as well. So many people are on the brushless/LiPo bandwagon due to how it simplifies racing, but they're still willing to put up with cars that are a real pain in the ass to work on. I don't see that being the case forever.

Matt Howard in Omaha? Will you be racing or practicing at the Hobbyplex much? The KC guys are fond of making trips up there to race, and it would be nice to see someone so successful in R/C at that beautiful place. That might be the finest indoor facility in the country.

I'll be at the Plex pretty much every weekend. I agree, the Plex is a very nice facility and I'm lucky to be able to race there. We will be hosting the carpet regionals in march as well

Well, I just got back from Mikes hobby shop in Dallas. Went racing some 19 turn with Dumas. The car is the real deal. Super fast and consistant all day even with that gearing .

Mike Dumas kicked ass today ("pro bully" )at mikeshobbyshop.com running a 19t club race using his new JRXS-R. If interested you can visit the website and click under race results. This car definetely looks in par with today's winning designs. The track layout is a replica of last year's Vegas race. The layout was change about 3 weeks ago but traction hasn't completely comeout yet. They were 4 t2's,1 rdx, 1 jrxs and 1 unknown running againts his jrxs-r. Losi's qualified (Dumas of course ) first and fourth with a couple of T2's sanwiched in between, one belonging to Mr.Tamale racing (Larry Bradshaw). Well check it out!

Chris Adams was the guy that got the closest to Dumas in his T2.

Default Proto type 3 deck chassis!

I ran the proto type three deck chassis at Mikes Hobby Shop on Saturday in Dallas and it was just a great day at the track. The car was very consistant and kept getting faster every run. One of the things I absolutely thought would be a great point to bring to every ones attention, is in the last qualifier, I had an incident with another car at the end of the straight away causing me to hit the wall at full speed. When my car stopped tumbling and finally settled seconds after the crash, it was like the car had never even been in an accident. The car drove straight as an arrow and wasn't tweaked, Awsome!
