Also, at club races, is the type r competitive with xray, tamiya, tc5's hpi's etc.??

thanks for the info.

I have been running losi since I got into the hobby. Moved over to xray about a year ago. I'm back to the losi type r. Much better platform and a lot more user friendly. Setup is available. All the guys at my track are starting to realize what a great car it is and jumping the schumacher, xray tamiya ship and heading for losiville!!

I upgraded from a TA-05, and they are also quite nice to drive on carpet too.... but I'm heaps quicker with the R!!
Thanks!

I will have to find a used JRXS-R or just pony up and buy a new kit.. They arent that spendy compared to my moore speed lol.... Atleast at my lhs they arent very bad

how does the car work as for out of the box set-up on carpet?

i usually run at a place that has mad traction...

im prolly gonna get the car anyways but just wanted to know...

does this car have the revised arms or are they different?

I have a carpet setup for med to high bite carpet with foams. Rob Love helped me with this setup.

Also check with Mike Haynes, rcracingkid, he has some good setups as well.

If you want a copy of the setup I have just pm me your e-mail and I will send it to you.

Later,

Sure, give away my secret setup.

I built a brand new car for Vegas and this past weekend was the first time running it. We got lucky enough to run at Horsham's facility before it's officially removed from the complex it's in. I think we get to run again this weekend too.

Horsham is the newer version CRC carpet and we run Paragon. My setup I'm working on is attached to this post. Feel free to try it. The car turned a pretty good amount, but could have used a little more. You just have to be careful running 4 Magentas without a front sway bar. The car can be difficult to drive if you are not smooth on the wheel. Sudden movements can make the car step out, which will kill corner speed.

This is just a work in progress. It's part of testing that Larry and I are doing for Vegas. This is by no means a final setup, but something to try.

Have at it fellas.
