Default Durability

Hi guys,

My track is going to be indoor capet in a month and I'm going to put away my 8ight and get a jrxs type r. Does anyone with experience with xray, losi, Tamiya, HPI have any opinion on the durability of the losi jrxs type r compared to the original jrxs and/or other high end touring cars. Also, at club races, is the type r competitive with xray, tamiya, tc5's hpi's etc.??

thanks for the info.

Doug

The Type R is extremely durable and just as if not more competitive then the cars you listed above.

It is a lot better car then the original JRXS but both are extremely excellent cars.

The JRXS-R is very durable, and IF you happen to break something, the parts are a whole lot more affordable than the expensive imports. If your local shop deals regularly with Horizon Hobby distributors (like most do), they can get your parts quickly as well. I've whacked a few corners already, and have driven away each time without even a tweak. I believe I popped off a ball cup ONCE. That said, I would still recommend the Parma bumper for the car for some added insurance.

I've been running this car on carpet for about 6 weeks now, and it's as competitive as any on the market. I raced a Corally RDX for about 2-1/2 years previously. When the new Phi came out, I decided to try something different, rather than just blindly moving onto the next iteration. I'm very glad that I did. As I mentioned above, the affordability makes it even more attractive. Losi really did a good job with the redesign.
