I don't believe you can get a 100 to work. I think 108/40 just made it.

Default Wishbone Problem

Hi guys

I wonder if Todd or Someone from Losi would be able to comment on the Wishbone saga.

As there has been a revision to the Bones, Meaning there was a manufacturing/design problem, where do we stand

Will we be offered some form of compensation or some other way of saying sorry.

Cheers

Tim

Pardon me asking but...

Why would someone pay you to be a hammer? Parts don't break if you don't crash...

Forgive me if i sound rude, I'm sorry

But have you bothered to read the whole thread. or do you even have a type R

I have two, and gone through too many arms to count. Some weren't my fault. Yes I'm not the best driver in the world but still, when you single handed have a shops entire stock of wishbones, one gets annoyed.

Rant over

Tim

Yes I own a type-r. I broke one a-arm. It was my fault. I bought a replacement. Never happened again. I think it has a lot more to do with the fact that the axles stick out past the wheel about 5mm

We race outside on big open tracks most of the time and even a knock on the rear is enough to break a bone, No, i haven't got any of the new ones yet as i have now run out of money. (not sure they are over yet anyway).

So, If Todd is about at some point, That would be great.

Cheers

Tim

Marcos: It does have to do with the axles, cause they can get caught on the pipes and then rip the arm back. Ive hit the walls pretty hard, but havent broken an arm. Someone told me to use the dremel to cut the extra axle off, to help eliminate it getting caught on boards.

Any one looking for a NIB Jrxs Type R w/2 sets of front and 1 set or rear spare arms for $365 shipped to the lower 48? I have one for sale. It was going to be my second car but the carpet track where i race closed down all of sudden. I dont have need for a second type R any more. Hell i dont have need for my first one either but i'll keep that to run asphalt during the rest of the summer.

The new arms should take car of most breaking problems. The mold was not heated before pouring them making them brittle. The new batch has this fixed and are great. I am running the same set on my car from 2 months ago and have beaten the snot out of it. Just remember that something has to give in a hard crash.

For stock and 19 turn try to get a little more weight on that front end. It will help the car tremendously. Move elctronics as far forward as possible, make sure your personal is under that front diff, etc....
