The car is hideous and when manufactures pump up products like they are groundbreaking and earth-shattering (Team Orion WASP influx), the product usually is a flop.
yup, you're right. HPI had the pro 3 that was as stiff as a wet noodle and Yokomo had a center battery FWD car about 15 YEARS ago ( I still have one in my garage, cool car). If you don't like it, don't buy it. Let the rest of us have our fun without all the hate

I wonder if the guys ever tried that mod on the test mules??

Did you get the email I sent you?

Keith
Actually I gave that mod a shot on my car, but really didn't notice any difference when using it on the rear motor. I admit it did feel better on the front motor car though.

From the pics it does appear that the diff pulleys are the same, so that is a plus. The battery tray now has four screws instead of the last car havin two?
The reason for the 4 screws on the battery plate is we had problems with the center sagging and having to raise our cars to make the 5mm ride height rule that a lot of carpet tracks use.

I just got off the phone with Mr.Hodge, he's at Competition Hobbies in Arizona practicing on carpet. He actually has a preproduction car and reported to me that it's dialed, he said it runs better than his prototype car. I thought that was good to hear!

I just thought of another HUGE plus, now when were at a big race and the very helpful team guys are and have been running nothing but RM cars and we mere mortals were running FM cars, now were ALL running the same car!!! Yahoo!!!

At least you put Tamiya on the front of that list as all those other cars came out after the Tamiya.....those are the Clones..

But the new Losi car is definetly not one of the clones, they design there own products, which is good to see.

But TECHnically, the Tamiya is a clone as well...or at least the original 415 was not designed in-house, only refined in-house. Plus, I seem to remember a Yokomo that came out in that configuration before the 415...and the Corally Assassin....

Not Bagging on you man, but there were "belt down the middle/batts on one side/electronics on the other" belt drive cars before the 415. It's just been one of the most successful.

I for one can't wait for the new car to come out...and to bug Hodge for a dialed setup

lol no hate. I really like the pro3 and wished they would have kept it longer to make into a better car.
