In the picture is in the low position, but I have just rotated it up to the high position and it still clears, it's close, but turns freely. Maybe you could space your shock balls on the tower forward with a couple of 4-40 washers to gain clearance?

gearing is very important. next time at the track, find some people running the same motor as you and ask what they are running. the wrong gearing can make your car either really slow down the straight or run really really hot and have no punch.

Hi Todd

just a quick question. you ran 5 cell, did you run them at the front or the rear.

Cheers

Actually I ran them centered. We had a special tray made for the race. The cells were like this : [[ _ ]] Hope that makes sense. This was so we were able to move the ESC towards the center of the car. I will try and get some pics up soon.

Yep i understand that.

When you made up the cell, did you use wire to link them so you could still put them in a balancer

cheers

Tim

Ah that was the lovely problem, we had to disassemble our batteries each run to tray them. One run I missed since I put them together backwards.

I am not sure if we are going to release the tray and top deck.

I think we would be better of just creating a tray that is perhaps centered between cells forward and cells back.

Opps, that is a problem. Are you having to use a different top deck too?

Over here our races are very close together so a centered tray would be a better option
