Well that's encouraging news. I'm still on a streak of good luck, but the other R's at my track have broken numerous arms. I've got a bunch of spares now, so I guess it'll be okay to unclench when I go through tight sections. :-D

The spool pulley will not work unless you make the inside hole as big as the inside diameter of the attached spool pad. That is how I made mine and it is fine. They old arms will work on the new car and you have to use different pivot points which is covered in the manual if you look at the page where it shows which holes to use for which arms. As far as I know there is only the 10.5 springs and that is what I used. I doubt they are coming out with new springs but you never know.

oh man, this link was posted in another thread...

http://www.overrc.com/news/news2001/...ws01062001.htm

i remember that car, saw it at the reedy race at ripon a few years back. seemed like such a crazy idea at the time... who puts the batteries and motor on the centerline of a car?

I took the car apart tonight and gave it its first thorough cleaning. This thing is insanely easy to work on. I guess I realized that when I built it, but this is the first time I've actually torn into it and cleaned things up, and it was a breeze.

I learned the hard way that you can't in any way squeeze the little aluminum tubes the steering assembly bearings ride on when trying to tighten them down. It's a good thing I've got another kit, otherwise I'd be out for this weekend while waiting on spares. :-O
