My Type R performed awesome at the race for the limited amount of time on it. This car changes direction like nothing else I have driven. It is on to the Gate for some foam racing and then back to rubber tires for more testing after. Thanks to Kevin for a setup to start with and Todd for all the help.

Brian your car along with the 2 other type r's all looked really good and were all very fast this weekend. I think the car has a ton of potential.

Does anyone know how well the R car handles on asphalt with rubber tire? We have two kits at the hobbyshop I work at and I'm really jonesn' of it, lol. I have an xray now, and it runs good, but buying anything for it costs a fortune. Just curious if the new car is more of a carpet ride or if anyone has had some success with it on the pavement. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

There will be a set-up coming very soon in the future. Once the one-ways are out, we should have something. Thanks to James Newberg for working with me on the car. Sorry about your luck buddy.

I had a one-way in it, but it had a wide body which I think changed the way the front end reacts.

You should see it change direction with a LiPo and no added weight. :-D It's like a 1/12th scale.

Brian, did you use the graphite arms instead of the EA3? With top drivers and hard hitting at the nats you did a great job not breaking the arms.

Saw a couple of them on asphalt yesterday. Wow!! One of them let me drive it, and it was great...it outhandles anything I have driven, including my Xray '007. Its really good...they were running with Lipos, and it felt like a 1/12 scale changing directions...very quick in the infield and so much corner speed. Its great...it works really good on asphalt. The problem was again, that the drivers went thru like 4 arms each. Those things snapped like toothpicks with light taps of soft pvcs. Its weird how those arms are so weak. It must be manufacturer issue- maybe the formula wasnt mixed correctly- something is wrong. Other than that, the car is the car to have on asphalt, especiallly if you are running Lipos...its fast and so nimble and easy to drive...
