It builds very well. The fit and finish are excellent, easily on par, if not superior to the 007 I built. I almost think you could throw a couple of wrenches in the box, shake it a few times and the kit would fall out completed.

Just a couple of heads up though. The thrust washers are different, as noted in the instructions, but the difference isn't very obvious. At least to my eyes. Do yourself a favor and throw a set of calipers on them to confirm. Also on my kit at least, you need to dremel out some more clearance for the front belt when the diffs are in the low position per the original XS. It is nice though that I only had to remove four screws and the front pops out as one nice rigid piece.

There are many, many little refinements, and niceties that you will discover during the build that make you smile. And there are still a few bitz I am trying to figure out how they made them so nicely and in production quantities. (I am a process geek by trade.)

I will put some more pics up later tonight of the build. I am not too fond of the craptacular camera here at work.

Wow, if it truly does approach the build quality of the 007, that's something to be proud of indeed. XRay kind of sets the standard for that sort of thing. It sounds like the delays were worth it.

You know it is only 2:30 at Horizon right now.... Plenty of time to get one on a UPS truck..... And Hobby-sports in K-zoo has them. And we both know you know how to get there.

The Future of the JRX-S

With the recent news that Gil Losi Jr. left Team Losi (and works now for Kyosho R&D), who is in charge of Losi R&D, and more specifically electric sedan like the JRX-S "R"? Who is in charge for Losi when it comes to further refinenement and updates to the Type "R", of new future kits?

This is very true. As i said, i built mine at the track during the first day of practice for the nats. I was thrilled that there was no thought needed during any part of the build. AND I had no manual. It "fell" together.

Cant wait to hear what you all think.

=RBlove- are you racing again? When we going to do a little testing together?
