i wouldn't consider the mid motor car "fragile" when compared to other cars. it is a little more fragile than say a xxx-s, but that car was a tank. the jrx-s handles minor crashes just fine, i constantly amaze myself at what i can dish out to the car. it's major crashes that can suck, but that's with all cars.

the only real gripes i have with the jrx-s are basically resolved with the type-r. the mid motor car basically can't have a servo saver, the type-r has one built in. the mid motor car can break a-arms when crashed hard enough, the type-r has ea3 arms.

i had a set of ea3 jrx-s arms at one time and it took some serious damage to break them. in fact, i only really broke one front arm. i stripped out a hole in a rear arm, but that's a n00b mistake. i switched both sides to graphite to keep everything consistent.

I can attest first hand that it can handle a full speed rear end impact as it seems to come to a complete stop while trying to make a 180 off of the straight, and I'm right behind it

Aluminium

I saw in another picture there was an extra bracket on the steering arm giving these three positions of this alloy piece.

Picture of Todd's car earlier on this thread

Will these be an upgrade later?

Be good if they were the same colour as the bulkheads etc.

Cheers

Hee, I've toned it down a lot, there's no reason to make enemies online. There's no way to really express your tone online, so I think people thought I was just being an ass.

I'm still undecided between the XRay and Type-R. I REALLY want a car that's durable, and also one that elegantly allows you to use LiPo. The 007 is durable, but LiPo is messy with weights everywhere. The Type-R seems to solve the LiPo problem, but its durability is untested. Reading up on EA3 brings nothing but hate from the off-road crowd, but some people that used it on their JRX-S said it was okay. So, I'm still on the fence. My existing car has broken arms too easily one too many times, so we're breaking up after 2+ years.

Yea, I noticed Mike's car was using the aluminum knuckles. It too appears to be missing the camber mod. Already things are changing, and the car is still weeks away from the shelves. :-(

I have been running the EA3 parts in mod buggy and I really have no complaints. The only stuff I broke, I knocked the holy crap out of my car and deserved to break stuff. Actually all ive broke on the car was the front camber mounting area, turnbuckles (they do suck majorly), and pivot block. The pivot block was actually xxcr NOS. The kit I got was one of the first runs and had been setting on the shelf since June and I bought it in Nov.
