Naww man! I have my fingers crossed for the asphalt nats though.

That foamy carpet thing is weird for me since I don't have a track within 5 hours of me. Now, rubber tires on carpet is pretty darn cool! Over the past couple of years I have managed to run some foam stuff and each time I feel like I brought a knife to a gun fight. lol Asphalt rules for me man.

The 3 deck car is the pre-production version of the Type R. The production car will only have 1 deck...

even more bloody confused now Nathan, I take it you mean 3 separate decks at different hights along the chassis?

And whats wrong with the points? if there is anything wrong, have a word with The Rain Man, not me

yes, the 3 deck car has just that, 3 top plates. It was used until vegas by the mod team to get the R testing done. Since Vegas, the top drivers have been running preproduction Type R cars that basically are production cars to use as test mules for quality of parts and duribility for the production run.

The old proto types were "hand me downs" to some of the team. Mike Haynes has one, I very recently recieved one.. and uhh... well others had one but have since moved on.

The production car is Comming very very soon. I drove my car for the first time this past weekend and can BOLDLY say that it trumps the FMC from the first pack. FMC was a great car but this is the Murcielago GT compared to the Countach. REFINED.

In the main my car was pushing a lot for some reason, i think the track was just pushy compared to the quals, or my tires may have had a run too many on them.
Thanks for the info, Mike! I'll have to give these changes a try sometime. I thought your Vegas setup was very easy to drive and consistant start to finish, but I'm only running stock. I'll have to try some of your new ideas and see how they work out for me.

Keith, Todd and others, this may have been answered elswhere but are you able to tell us what parts are shared with the original car? I assume shock springs, pistons, and maybe sway bars? Anything else?Hinge pins, turnbuckles? Bearing sizes etc? I noticed that the pics display the new car using the sway bar ends for ballcups (love em) will the new car arrive with these?

Hodgimoto says it's a secret! lol But from reading this tread, looks like most of the bearings, hubs, bumper, body mounts and arms (in certain setups). Anything I miss? I'm sure there's more.

Todd told me in LV that even the old arms can be used on the new car as a tuning option. The new ones will be longer. I would assume if you use the said old arms on the new car you would also have to use the CVD's as well as the LCD's when useing them, since they are shorter. I would imagine some of the bearings will be the same as well. Shocks are definitely the same so you can keep all your springs and pistons from the old car.
